Dinner Theme

“Windchella” We’ve been calling the conference “Windchella” since it began as we think it’s more like a ‘festival of wind’ rather than a conference; it’s a play on the famously-named ‘Coachella’ festival held in California.  Our dinner theme could be anything from Woodstock, hippies and peace signs, to Taylor Swift, sequins and silver cowboy boots.  Whatever ‘festival’ dressing means to you – that’s Windchella.

EVENT SPONSORS

Our 2023 Event was big.

2024 is going to be even bigger!

I would like to thank the arrangement team and all speakers at the Offshore Wind Australia conference #offshorewindaustralia conference for a very different, action oriented and constructive conference. The dialog focused on what it will take to develop this industry, gaps and challenges and clear messages were delivered; involvement early, build local industry, international capacity constraints is an opportunity for the Australian industry, get going!
— Vidar Skjaeveland – Head of Business Development/New Initiatives, Equinor

Offshore Wind Australia (OWA) has been established to grow and accelerate the development of the offshore wind energy industry in Australia which is in its’ formative stages but has the potential to be a leader in energy transition in Australia and reaching into the Asia Pacific region in the coming decades.

OWA seeks to create an extensive Australian and international network from existing and related industries which can shape Australia’s energy future and create opportunities reaching into the existing and developing offshore wind industry locally and globally.

Today I had the opportunity to attend the Offshore Wind Australia Conference. What a fantastic event showcasing and interrogating the developing industry from every angle! Panels made up of regulators, developers, investors, and consultants discussed the immense challenges and opportunities for the industry using local and international examples.
